In the school year 2010/11 the school gained the title of the ’Cultural School’. We had a wide range of high-quality cultural life, in a variety of areas: in music, drawing, literary, preservation of the cultural heritage and the presentation of activities, such as musical and theatrical performances. We acquired the title on the basis of academic and professional work in the field of culture in the last few years. We believe that our work in the field of culture is known in our immediate and wider surrounding area. Mentor: Anita Dernovšek

PRESCHOOL OF ROCK&ROLL
At school, they have created several musical groups, which consist of students from the 1st till the 9th grade.
READING CLUB
What is a reading club? Why do we like to read together and talk about the read books? What can you learn from the other readers at these meetings? The answers to these questions will find all of you who will join our club, which already has a good number of members. The Reading Club wants to trigger reflections on the many up-to-date problem, which you already had or will encounter in the teen period by using contemporary young literature. An exchange of views, constructive criticism, recommendations, and the assessment of the book, in particular the openness and tolerance of different opinions, and all of this is part of the reading club. In the end, one beautiful thought of one of the read book is: Open the book, and the book will open you. Mentors: Mojca Jerala-Bedenk and Nives Butara-Kovač
ART COMPETITIONS
The students of our school will take part in various competitions and workshops. Our school traditionally takes part in the New Year’s decoration of Ljubljana. Mentor: Jasna Babič
